Forest View would like to invite you to an annual fundraiser at Culvers. This Monday! April 29th- Culvers Family Night (eat at Culvers and support FV) 5:00-8:00. A Forest View staff member will serve you! Have dinner and help raise money for Forest View!
Literacy: As we wrapped up our Unit about Colonial Times, we had a great Colonial Towns Square on Wednesday! Here are the photos from this fun event for Kindergarten. It was amazing to have so many adults volunteer their time and their knowledge and resources to help bring that time period alive for our kids. We were able to see a blacksmith, a spinner and weaver, a carpenter, a baker, a farming family do their chores, a bricklayer, and pet a new born baby calf. I also really enjoyed watching the students gravitate towards different trades.
Math:
We are learning about subtraction. This week we talked about different strategies we can use to take away. Students were introduced to using fingers, a number path, counting backwards, and of course, using objects.
Next week we are starting our unit about Taking Care of the Earth. We will learn all about recycling and how to be great citizens and take care of our planet.
Congratulations to our STAR student this week- Olivia!
She is such a kind, caring student. Olivia works hard and is always eager to learn more!
Have a wonderful weekend!
