Welcome to Mrs. Ouwinga's Kindergarten! We are going to have a great year together.Robert Fulghum said "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten". This saying stands true!  It is a foundational year. We will: make new friends, read new books, learn new ideas, solve new problems, play new games, reach new goals, make new mistakes, and HAVE FUN the whole way through!

Wondering how you as a parent can help? Involvement is the key! Pay attention to what is coming home and follow through with conversations at home!

I will do my best to pair the paper/pencil and the kinethsetic (hands-on) approach through out the day. It is my goal to make learning fun and inviting as much as I can.

 Parents are encouraged to connect with our classroom two important ways:

1. This website - where you will find a lot of important information updated frequently, and a good spot to have many of your questions answered. Visit our blog often to see learning in action! New post every Friday!

2. Checking our home/school folder each night and return it every morning. Money labeled in an envelope with the student's name, so I know what it is for.
