Valentine's Day
Forest View hopes you will join us Family Game Night! Every child will leave with a game and there is even child care available for smaller children, so you can enjoy your time with your student! Send in slips and RSVP next week!
We had a nice time at our Valentine's Party on Thursday. We even had time to do some fun activities with our second grade buddies in Mrs. Swiger's Class. It is so great to have buddies in school to read with us, to do fun projects with, or to see outside! It gives us some great role models and the older kids a chance to be a great mentor.
Math:
We finished up our unit on shapes. Every student should know and understand the flat shapes and the solid shapes to be successful You may hear students using the words "vertices" this is a math term for corners. Next week we will be talking about other ways to count including by 2's, 5's and 10's. We will talk about how this is more efficient that counting by 1's sometimes.
Here are some more pictures of of our Valentine's Day fun. Thank you for the fun valentine's and for the fun items sent that didn't include candy or food!
Many of you have signed up for Class Dojo- which is a free app to communicate at home and enjoy seeing students behavior, videos, messages, and class happenings from the students during the day. I am getting to know it still, but the students are enjoying earring points at school. More fun things fro Dojo will come, but the most important part is to talk about what you are seeing at home.
