The students entered the building Friday morning with tickets in hand, sounds of the train filled the halls. We were boarding the Polar Express. The halls were lined with lights and hot cocoa. Mrs. Paulen read us the Polar Express story and we enjoyed pancakes. It was a wonderful morning and a fun way to add to a busy week. Thank you for all the donations and parents/grandparents who helped make pancakes!
Thanks for all your donations to our room this week! Many of you donated your time and items for our gingerbread houses and pancake party. We appreciate each detail and our class had a wonderful week. We enjoyed hearing different versions of the gingerbread man and comparing the characters and plot.
Here are some pictures of our Gingerbread House making party.
We enjoyed some holiday stations this week too! Everyone is super excited to put out their reindeer food Christmas Eve!
And Finally, we invited Mrs. Chaio from the YMCA to lead us into some Holiday Yoga. The students did an hour of yoga poses. It was very relaxing and fun!
I would like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your family time. Maybe we will get some snow to play in soon!
See you in 2019.
Mrs. Ouwinga
